Who we are

Jana Al-Jannatayn Academy teaches the Quran, tajweed, memorization and Arabic online, in live one-to-one lessons. This policy explains what personal information we collect through this website and when you contact us, why, and the choices you have.

What we collect

When you visit the website, Google Analytics (through Google Firebase) records how the site is used:

• the pages you view and the language you read them in
• which booking buttons you tap and which course details you open
• your approximate location (country and city, from your IP address)
• your type of device and browser

This information does not include your name or phone number. When you message us on WhatsApp to book a lesson, we receive what you choose to send: usually your name, your phone number, the learner’s name and age, the course you are interested in, and the times that suit you.

This website does not ask for or store payment card details.

Why we use it

We use your WhatsApp details only to reply to you, arrange a free lesson, match you with a teacher and organize your lessons. We use website statistics only to understand which parts of the site help visitors and to improve it.

We never sell your information, and we do not use it for advertising.

Cookies and your consent

Google Analytics stores small files called cookies (named _ga and _ga_…) in your browser to tell visits apart. They can last up to two years. We do not use advertising cookies.

If you are in the European Union, the United Kingdom or nearby countries, Google Analytics does not run until you accept it in the cookie banner. Everyone can change their choice at any time from “Cookie settings” at the bottom of every page.

Who receives your information

We share information only with the services we need to run the website and the lessons, and with the teacher who teaches you:

• Google, for website hosting (Firebase) and statistics (Google Analytics)
• WhatsApp (Meta), for our messages with you
• Zoom or Google Meet, for the live lessons

These services may process information outside your country, under their own privacy policies.

Children

Many of our students are children. Lessons for a child are arranged with a parent or guardian, and we use a child’s details only to teach them. If you believe a child has sent us information without a parent’s knowledge, tell us and we will delete it.

How long we keep it

We keep your contact details and messages only as long as we need them to arrange and give your lessons, and we delete them when you ask. Google Analytics keeps website statistics for a limited period, at most 14 months.

Your rights

You can ask us at any time to show you the information we hold about you or your child, to correct it, or to delete it. You can also withdraw your consent to analytics from “Cookie settings”. If you are in the EU or the UK and are unhappy with how we handle your information, you can also complain to your local data protection authority.
